Ministry of Transportation Advises Public that Bus Schedules Remain Unchanged

Belmopan, February 28, 2026.

The Ministry of Transportation wishes to advise the public, commuters, and all stakeholders that existing bus schedules and routes across the country remain unchanged, except where there are duplicate runs or very close departures that need to be corrected.

As part of the Government of Belize’s ongoing Transport Modernization Initiative and the operationalization of the National Bus Company (NBC), the Ministry is ensuring a smooth and orderly transition that prioritizes stability, continuity, and uninterrupted service to the Belizean people. All current departure times, routes, and service frequencies will continue as scheduled.

The Ministry reaffirms its commitment to protecting the interests of commuters while advancing reforms designed to deliver a more reliable, efficient, and sustainable public transportation system. This transition represents a strategic investment in national development, improved connectivity, and enhanced service delivery for communities nationwide.

The public is assured that any future service improvements or adjustments will be communicated clearly and in a timely manner to ensure transparency and public confidence.

The Ministry of Transportation thanks commuters, operators, and all stakeholders for their continued cooperation and support as Belize moves forward in strengthening and modernizing its national transportation system.
