Belmopan, January 19, 2026.
The Ministry of Transportation expresses its sincere appreciation to Cabinet for its support in expanding the nation’s transport enforcement capacity through additional personnel and equipment. This initiative reflects the Government’s commitment to improving road safety, strengthening regulatory compliance, and enhancing public service delivery.
The Ministry wishes to inform the public that, while policy support has been granted, funding for this initiative has not yet been identified. As such, recruitment has not commenced at this time.
In the interim, the Ministry is actively preparing the framework for implementation. This includes the development of clear eligibility criteria, training standards, and the requisite qualifications for prospective applicants. These measures are intended to ensure that any future recruitment is transparent, merit-based, and aligned with national enforcement standards.
Once these preparatory processes are completed and funding is secured, the Ministry will formally notify the public and provide full details on application procedures and timelines.
The Ministry remains committed to keeping the public informed as this important initiative progresses.
