The Office of the Prime Minister announces that, at the advice of Prime Minister Hon. John Briceño, His Excellency, Deputy Governor-General Ambassador Stuart Leslie, will appoint Rear Admiral Elton Bennett, Commandant of the Belize Coast Guard, as Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Enterprise, pursuant to section 107 of the Constitution.
Commandant Bennett has served the nation with distinction for three decades, and took command of the Belize Coast Guard in 2019. It is anticipated that his appointment will greatly enhance and advance the work of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Enterprise.
