The Office of the Prime Minister informs that Prime Minister Hon. John Briceño departed the country on September 23, 2026, for New York City, New York, U.S.A., to attend the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. Leaders will convene at the United Nations Headquarters to discuss solutions to the world’s pressing global issues, from climate change to global health, peace, security, and humanitarian response.
The Prime Minister returns to Belize on Monday, September 28, 2026.
During the Prime Minister’s absence, Hon. Cordel Hyde, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining, will act as Prime Minister.
