The Office of the Prime Minister informs that the Hon. John Briceño departed the country on Sunday, July 20, 2025, on personal leave. Subsequently, Prime Minister Briceño will travel to Osaka, Japan, on August 1, 2025, to attend the Expo 2025 Osaka, followed by a bilateral meeting with Japan’s Prime Minister, H.E. Shigeru Ishiba.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to return to the country on Saturday, August 5, 2025. During his absence, the Hon. Cordel Hyde, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources, Mining, and Petroleum, will act as Prime Minister.
