The summit will have three main themes: Vaccinate the World, Save Lives Now, and Build Better Health Security.

The objectives of the summit are to redouble collective efforts to end the acute phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, and to prepare for future variants, pandemics, and other health threats. The summit will seek to galvanize commitments and actions from governments, NGOs, philanthropists, and the private sector to achieve these objectives.

A primary goal of the summit is to make accessible and administer vaccinations, testing and treatments to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 and protect those at the highest risk as well as to work toward strengthening public health systems to prepare for future health threats.

Prime Minister Briceño looks forward to a successful summit that will contribute to the international effort in the fight against COVID-19 and to advance global pandemic preparedness.
