The Ministry of National Defence and Border Security extends its gratitude to the security forces for a job well done in the successful interdiction of the illegal landing of a narco jet in the Bladen area of the Toledo District on November 4, 2021. The ministry is particularly proud of the operators at the Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC) and members of the Belize Defence Force (BDF) who acted with professionalism and courage in the execution of their duties.
The ministry informs that the JIOC comprises of members of the BDF, Belize Coast Guard, Belize Police Department, Customs Department and Immigration Department, who coordinated the deployment of troops and passed on critical live information for mission success.
The Ministry of Defence and Border Security along with the departments under its command stand ready to ensure the safety and security of Belize.
