The Ministry of Human Development, Family Support, and Gender Affairs received a generous donation from the Good Deeds Day Organization to benefit young mothers and children in institutional care.
At a handover ceremony held yesterday afternoon at the Belize City Council, the Good Deeds Day Organization, represented by Mrs. Charlotte Neal, presented:
- 30 female hygiene kits for young mothers at the Home for Teen Mothers
- four refurbished laptops for the New Beginnings Resource Center
- two fifty-inch smart televisions for the Dorothy Menzies Child Care Center
Hon. Thea Garcia-Ramirez, Minister of Human Development, Family Support, and Gender Affairs, received the donation on behalf of the Ministry and expressed appreciation for the timely and thoughtful contribution, stating, “The support provided by the Good Deeds Day Organization will greatly enhance the services we deliver to our children and young mothers. These resources not only meet immediate needs but also provide tools that help strengthen education, development, and overall well-being.”
The Ministry extends its sincere gratitude to the Good Deeds Day Organization for its ongoing commitment to community development and for its support of the Ministry’s mission to empower children, families, and vulnerable groups throughout Belize.
