The Hon. Dr. Louis Zabaneh, Minister of Constitution and Religious Affairs, Indigenous Affairs, and Transportation, met with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) team to advance strategic collaboration to strengthen Belize’s transportation governance and modernization efforts.
The UNDP delegation, led by Mr. Michael Lund, Deputy Resident Representative, along with Mr. Ryan Zuniga, Nature, Climate, and Energy Programme Lead, and Ms. Amilin Mendez, Inclusive Growth and Digitization Programme Analyst, shared updates on the E-Mobility Pilot Project, a bold step toward a cleaner, greener Belize powered by innovation and sustainable energy.
The discussions also explored other areas of mutual interest, reinforcing the partnership between the Ministry and UNDP in driving sustainable development and inclusive progress across Belize.
Supporting the Minister at the meeting were Mr. Leon Gentle, Chief Transport Officer, Mr. Peter Williams, Deputy Chief Transport Officer, and Ms. Anna Loague, Director of Policy, Planning, and Research. This high-level participation highlights the Ministry’s strong leadership and commitment to innovation and transformational change.
