Hon. Andre Perez, Minister of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation, met with H.E. Erwin Rudy Archila Falla, Ambassador of Guatemala to Belize, and Minister-Counsellor Denis Ortiz in Belize City today.
Minister Perez and Ambassador Achila Falla discussed strengthening the economies of both countries through sustainable development and shared ideas for a mutually beneficial partnership. Hon. Perez highlighted the Ministry of Blue Economy’s mission to increase Belize’s gross domestic product through science-based management of the country’s aquatic resources with the principal aim of improving the livelihoods of all Belizeans.
“Instead of looking miles across the seas to build relationships, it is best that we start closer to home,” stated Minister Perez.
H.E. Archila Falla expressed pleasure and joy to revisit Belize stating, “It feels like home.”
