Belmopan, May 13, 2025.
Hon. Oscar Mira, Minister of National Defence and Border Security, and CEO Francis Usher met with the Commandant of the Belize Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Elton Bennett, and other senior officers for a briefing on the Coast Guard’s Command Plan for the next 12 months.
The session occurred during the Belize Coast Guard’s Senior Officers Conference, held May 8–9 at the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary. Key focus areas were recruitment, welfare programs, capacity building, and infrastructure development.
The Belize Coast Guard continues to demonstrate commitment to national security and maritime excellence.
