Ministry of Agriculture Supports Stann Creek and Toledo Agriculture Stations

Belmopan, May 29, 2026.

The agriculture stations in the Stann Creek and Toledo Districts received much-needed support materials to strengthen the work of the agriculture stations in those districts. The items were handed over at the Stann Creek Agriculture Station during a brief ceremony on May 28, 2026.

For Stann Creek, the support package included a rototiller, a hand push corn planter, complete beekeeping suits, a motorized knapsack sprayer, an HP laptop, a pressure washer, a poultry incubator with trays, seed packs for tomato and cabbage varieties, three different blends of fertilizers, and two different blends of polyfeed products.

For Toledo, the district received a hand push corn planter, an HP laptop, complete beekeeping suits, a projector, seed packs for tomato and cabbage varieties, three different blends of fertilizers, two different blends of polyfeed products, barbed wire, a pressure washer, and a roll of covered structure plastic.

Hon. Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and New Growth Industries, was present to hand over the items, following his tour of the Stann Creek District. Stations in other districts will receive similar support in the coming weeks.
