President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana H.E. Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali to Visit Belize

Belmopan, January 12, 2026.

The Office of the Prime Minister announces that H.E. Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, will undertake a State Visit to Belize from February 1 to 3, 2026.

During his visit, President Ali will address a Joint Sitting of Parliament coinciding with the inauguration of the newly renovated National Assembly building. President Ali is the Lead Head of Government in CARICOM for agriculture, and in an effort to strengthen regional cooperation, investment, and trade, will undertake a visit with the productive sector. It is expected that a number of cooperation agreements will be signed.

President Ali will also hold bilateral meetings with H.E. Dame Froyla T’zalam, Governor-General of Belize, and Hon. John Briceño, Prime Minister of Belize.

Belize and Guyana have historically shared strong and robust bilateral relations grounded in the commitment to regional solidarity, development, and integration.
