The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology (MoECST) and the managing authorities of pre-primary and primary schools have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reaffirming their shared commitment to modernizing the national teacher recruitment and onboarding process. The signing took place on Monday, December 1, 2025.
This landmark agreement establishes the governing framework for a comprehensive digital transformation of existing recruitment procedures. Once fully implemented, the new digitized system will significantly enhance, and in some areas, replace current manual processes, improving accuracy, efficiency, and overall service delivery.
The Ministry and the managing authorities share a deep and unwavering commitment to the service and well-being of teachers. Under the MoU, each partner is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate submissions, a requirement that is crucial to the effective functioning of the new system. These improvements will directly support the timely processing and payment of teachers’ salaries, reinforcing the Ministry’s dedication to providing a more reliable and supportive system for educators.
