In observance of the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, Prime Minister Hon. John Briceño has advised Cabinet Secretary H.E. Stuart Leslie, acting as Governor-General in the absence of H.E. Dame Froyla Tzalam, that all Belizean national flags be flown at half-mast from midday Thursday until his Committal Service on April 26, 2025. The nation will also observe an official mourning period during this time.
